Historical Fuchsias

When the first siamese cats arrived England during the late Victorian era, it was also the heyday of growing and cultivating exotic plants.  New fuchsia hybrids were the exciting favourites of the Belle Epoque.

A few of them are still popular and widely grown, many are quite rare today and not easy to find - forgotten treasures.

The next sites present photographs from our collection of many of these 19th and early 20th century's fuchsia cultivars.

We have added some of our modern fuchsias as well.
